Blown Fibre Installation

Blown Fibre is rapidly becoming the de facto standard for fibre connectivity. INS Sudlows has been at the forefront of this technology since its early adoption over a decade ago.

INS Sudlows is now one of the largest installers of Blown Fibre in the UK.

Thanks to a massive capital investment in the very latest Fibre equipment, INS Sudlows can deploy fully equipped units to any UK site almost immediately.

INS Sudlows have installed a wide range of Blown Fibre network connections. These include; BT Network Services, British Steel, Hope Hospital, Mersey Care NHS Trust, North Staffordshire NHS Trust and Manchester University. In addition we have been involved in a major national security project at GCHQ in Cheltenham.

Blown Fibre achieves its cost-effectiveness and flexibility by separating links into a passive infrastructure and high performance optical cabling. The passive infrastructure is created with the specially developed miniature plastic ducting and a range of appropriate termination and routing accessories. The optical cabling is added with the minimum of disruption whenever required. Multimode or Singlemode optical fibres are blown into links, using sophisticated installation equipment.

INS Sudlows is an Approved Emtelle installation company a Certified Installer of Molex Premise Networks Blown Fibre systems and Associate Installer of ADC Krone systems.

Test Equipment

All INS Sudlows installations are tested and documented in accordance with industry standards. Testing is undertaken with the latest standards compliant equipment; including Fluke DTX, Hewlett Packard OTDR testing equipment and Power Meters. Results are easily available as hard copy or CD-ROM.
