Partitioning

A partition in its simplest form is exactly that, it divides a room. This can take many forms, from traditional timber stud partitions to operable and modular partitioning; using applied manifestations these can form the basis of the office design, allowing natural light to flow through the office, thus creating a comforting environment for all.

As well as practical use, for some, glass partitioning is the new plasterboard, dividing a room yet creating a striking design feature. There are numerous types of partitioning available for all budgets, visual tastes and privacy preferences:

Timber stud partitioning

Historically, timber stud partitioning was the leading choice and in many ways the only way to create internal dividing walls. These walls are formed by using timber studs braced with timber noggins and fixed together with use of nails or screws. Services were run in the studwork and walls were insulated with fibre glass quilting for a combination of sound and heat. Clad over with plasterboard finished with skim coat of plaster and decorated. These types of partitions have formed the standard construction method for many years.

Metal C Stud Partitioning

Since timber stud partitioning, metal stud has now become the preferred method of internal partition formation. Their benefits include fast installation, consistency of product, and light weight with good inherent strength. They were, and still are, the most favoured method of partitioning in office refurbishment today.

I Beam Partitions

High strength I-shaped cross-sectional partitions are available in a wide variety of designs.

Glass partitioning

From a simple vision panel to a striking office of glass, glazed partitioning is the favoured choice by many of today's leading designers and architects. It allows natural light to flow throughout the office with creative use of manifestations in an array of chic designs awaiting the end user.

Modular partitioning

Modular partitioning offer an alternative to traditional built partitioning. Allowing the ability to create and divide office space. Being pre fabricated off site allows faster installation which saves on labour installation. Modular partitions come in an array of colours and designs. They are also adaptable allowing the reconfiguration of office space and additional panels to be added to suit an expanding or changing office environment.

Operable Walls

From manual operated walls to fully electrical operated walls, these movable wall partitions are available in numerous design and cost options, and in a choice of panel profiles, trims and finishes.
